Covey Rise - Upland Bird Hunting

The hunting lifestyle has always been deep in my blood. From being pulled up the tree in a 5 gallon bucket to sit with dad in the deer stand, to spending numerous years traveling across the country documenting celebrity hunters, telling the story of the hunt is as exciting as being the hunter. Over the years I have had the wonderful opportunity to provide content for the most coveted upland bird hunting magazine on the rack, Covey Rise Magazine. It's always such a fun experience being part of a hunt, viewing from a distance as you capture raw, authentic moments as long-time friends, fathers and sons, Grandpa's and grand daughter's, laugh, tell stories and just enjoy their time in the field. It's a blessing that I have been given to capture these stories that will last a lifetime.

Being an outdoor photographer in the advertising world takes a lot more than just capturing moments and hammering on the shutter button. My Clients rely on me to fully understand the project at hand. Many Art Directors haven't spent years in the field, hunting and fishing, but it is my job to work with them to insure we are telling the story of the brand in the very best light. From matching the proper camouflage to the scene, directing in the most authentic ways, to making sure safety is number one for the entire crew, holding this knowledge, and sharing it with the agencies I work with has truly blessed me over the years.
